A generously-sized plot (2000m2 which builds 200m2) situated on the edge of the lively village of Kefalas on the Drapanos peninsula in Apokoronas, Crete. The centre of the village is within walking distance and the coast only a short drive away. The deep rocky bay of Ombrogialos is less than 10 minutes away, while the clean sandy beach at Almyrida is only a little further away.
Kefalas is the highest village on the Apokoronas Peninsula at just over 340 metres (1,100 feet) above sea level. There has been a village here for many centuries, and it has much traditional architecture, including six churches and chapels. Facilities include two mini markets, four kafeneon and two tavernas. Spanning a ridge the village commands superb views of both the Lefka Ori (White Mountains) and the sea towards Rethymno. Additional shopping needs and amenities are available in Vamos, only ten minutes drive away. The beaches at Almyrida and Georgioupolis are about fifteen minutes drive away, and the historic city of Chania, and also the airport are forty minutes drive to the west.
