The village of Pemonia:

The traditional village of Pemonia is located in the heart of the Apokoronas region of Chania, situated on the foot of the White Mountains and surrounded by a fertile valley of vineyards, olive groves and cypress trees. Chania city is only a 25min drive. The main village of Fres is less than 2 kms up the hill, with a mini-market, tavernas and information centre. There are a few kafenions in Pemonia where daily amenities can be found and fresh bread is delivered to the village every day.

The region of Apokoronas:

Apokoronas is situated at the foot of the White Mountains in the north-eastern corner of the Chania prefecture and  is one of the greenest regions of Crete. The area features numerous interesting sights, such as Lake Kournas, the island's only freshwater lake and the archeological site of Aptera with its superb views of Souda Bay. Apokoronas features an abundance of historic and picturesque villages with traditional taverns and thriving seaside resorts with beautiful sandy beaches along the coast like Kalyves, Almyrida and Georgioupolis.
